The Twenty Something Blonde

At the end of every year Facebook is filled with memes & people saying how terrible the previous year was. I’ve been there, so I completely get it. I actually have a blog post about the year that almost killed me, but this is for all the people that actually had a kick-ass year.

Your mind will either work for you, or against you. No one has control of that except yourself. Sure, you can have feelings about the way someone treats you. At the end of the day the way you respond, and how long you choose to let something affect you, is 100% in your control.

2019 was amazing. I stopped caring what other people thought, and decided to do what I wanted to do for a change.

I loaded up a U-Haul, moved to a different state, became intentional about who I allow in my life, & I started taking a little extra time to stop and smell the roses. 2019 had some very tough moments. Leaving behind my dad, best friends, and home town was TOUGH! But oh my goodness it was worth it. I’ve done so much growth in the last year. I got sick and tired of playing victim. This is my life, and with a little guidance from the big man upstairs, I choose how it turns out.

I’ve learned so much this year, and I’m eager to continue the growth in this new decade.

Happy New Year!
